Belfast - Portglenone 32.4miles on AA Routefinder
Ballycastle - Portglenone 29.2miles
That looks pretty even to me esp considering the majority of your journey is motorway and good road

Just seeking clarification which antrim team d you travel to watch in croke on an almost annual basis - antrim camogs rarely get the op to play there!

I really think your grievance is pathetic whether you like it or not - you should really not comment on the guest book your negativity is neither required or appreciated

To parent, you say you`ve travelled the lengths and breadths of Ireland in your committment to your County, why stop now?? By the way I think its shocking that you travel the whole way to Croke almost once a year, I wouldn`t stand for that, perhaps you should complain about that too and they might move headquarters to Belfast!!

I have played county a couple of years and had to travel a fair bit to get to trainins and matches as i live in Ballycastle but found the fairst place for training was portglenone roughly taking te same time to get to from belfast and ballycastle so theres a problem solved.and if people dont want to make the effort dont bother playing because if you really want to play you'll make the effort to get there.

Venues to train and play matches are hard to come by in the county and really the county board has its hands tied in this regard. For godsake, my daughter is part of the senior panel at the moment and they are having to travel to Ardboe in County Tyrone to train!!

Think the idea of playing c'ship later is a good one. Last yr it happened by accident but left teams playing right thru the summer. Given some of the weather we have had the last couple of yrs it would also allow fixtures to be played. The longer the season the better for camogie, I can't see how hanging the hurl up in august and not taking it out again to feb or march will improve the standard of club players in the county.
Ps. Wouldn't it be great if Antrim got a run out in Croke park in early september?? At least the club calendar wouldn't be turned on it's head given the way the fixtures have been planned for 2010!!!
