Yes I also agree with the last comment, as long as the girls that go are verycommitted to their game and their county!!!! I don't like the idea of somegirls just goin to some training and getting picked when other girls go faithfully to every training sessions and are also skilled and don't get picked.
You have to show!

Some girls who have great potential dont believe they are good enough to be selected at trails so dont go
Well no point in them complaining then

it dosent matter who the mangers have to look out for, if the girls dont go surely credit should go to the girls who do!

In answer to j.w. Naomh Eoin's u16 championship winning team last year contained at least 7 players who won the u14 Féile as well. They had no fear at u16 level and (luckily for Naomh Eoin) they've two years left at u16 level. I agree that players at u14 now may not be around in 4/5 years but the potential for next years u16 Antrim team is very exciting.

All the Colleges' finals tomorrow are off because of the weather.
They will run some time next week, possibly next Saturday.

I've been around the block more times than I will admit and this yr, like most before, I've seen my fair share of camogie! What a player does as a 13/14 yr old is completely different to what she will experienece over the next 3/4 yrs...these yrs will determine how long or how far their camogie career will go. I know teenage girls will love to see their names on this guest book but the reality is, u14 camogie with Antrim could be as far as they go! It's hugely important that girls leaving u14 put their heads down and work at their game, respect their mentors and earn the right to play senior camogie for Antrim...hopefully, at senior grade!! Of the u14 squad this yr, I saw one player stand out, the full back from cushendall. Again, hopefully I will be able to say that in a few yrs time when watching the Antrim seniors...and I look forward to seeing more of the u14s of 2010 doing the same. Camogie in the county is on an upward curve, let's keep this going and enjoy the experience!!

North Antrim now has three schools involved in the Ulster Schools' finals on Saturday (weather permitting).
Today Cross & Passion Ballycastle qualified to meet holders St Patrick's Maghera in a repeat of last year's Senior A final.  Even some of Maghera's players are from Antrim clubs - the Quinn sisters from Dunloy and the O'Neill sisters from Tír na nÓg.
The B Final (Fr Davies' Cup) is exclusive to north Antrim with St Louis Ballymena taking on St Killian's Garron Tower.
Both these games are at Casement Park, while the C and D finals are in St Teresa's.
While Antrim schools have no representation in the C final (St Pius X v Knock), a number of players from the Rasharkin and Dunloy clubs will line-out for St Paul's Kilrea against Our Lady's Newry.
Good luck to all players from the County playing on Saturday.  This involvement surely bodes well for camogie in the county as a whole and in north Antrim in particular.
